For more than 75 years, our practice has been privileged to care for the people of Western New York. Today, we are writing to share an important change to our organization and what it means for you as our patient as you choose your 2027 health insurance.
Our New Names & Our Partnership with Univera Healthcare
In January 2027, our practice’s 70+ providers will begin practicing through Great Lakes Urology, Great Lakes Pediatric Urology, and Great Lakes Oncology. Because of this change, we are working on new contracts with all the health insurance companies we currently participate with for next year.
We are pleased to share that we have partnered with Univera Healthcare to bring value-based care to our patients. As a longstanding regional, nonprofit health plan proudly serving Western New York, Univera Healthcare shares our commitment to supporting the health and well-being of the communities we serve together. We look forward to working together to lower the cost of care for our patients while maintaining the highest quality.
Choosing Your Health Insurance for 2027
At this time, our confirmed participation for 2027 is with Univera Healthcare, traditional Medicare, and traditional Medicaid. We have reached out to all other health insurance companies, and hope to enter into agreements with all of them. However, no other agreements are in place yet. Please check the updates on our practice websites below for our insurance participation progress before choosing your health insurer for 2027.
